SHILLONG: The general secretary of Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee John Kharshiing expressed confidence that the electorate in Ampati will give their support to former Chief Minister Mukul Sangma’s daughter, Miani D. Shira, the Congress candidate by-election.
He was speaking at an election campaign at Bolchugri village under Ampati constituency, on Wednesday, where he said that the Congress will come back to power in the Lok Sabha elections 2019. Kharshiing said the people are yet to get the promises of Rs 15 lakhs for opening a zero account by the BJP-NDA government.
