NEHU professor to represent state at 4th UNWTO World Forum

SHILLONG: Dr. Saurabh Kumar Dixit, Associate Professor and Former HOD of the Department of Tourism and Hotel Management, North- Eastern Hill University has been invited as a speaker at the 4th UNWTO World Forum on Gastronomy Tourism scheduled to be held in Bangkok, Thailand from May 30 to June 1.
He will speak on Indigenous Cuisine and Gastronomic Tourism: Evidence from Meghalaya (India) during the UNWTO member’s panel: experiences and best practices scheduled on May 31.
The forum will be attended by the industry practitioners and academicians from around the globe.
Dr. Dixit is also nominated as India’s representative at the Advisory Council of the World Gastronomy Institute.
The World Gastronomy Institute is a transnational organization established in 2007 to develop and spread gastronomy around the world. The headquarter of WGI is in Madrid, Spain.
