An unknown person was brought to the Shillong Civil Hospital from Kheliehriat CHC by 108 Ambulance for treatment May 11. However the man, aged around 64, died and after the necessary formalities, his body has been kept at the Civil Hospital morgue. The SP, East Khasi Hills has urged the concerned, who can identify this person to collect the body. The deceased is dark complexion, thin and has white spot near his right eye brows.
Rice released
The DC (Supply), West Jaintia Hills District, Jowai has informed that that the Antyodaya Anna Yojna, Priority House Hold and Non-NFSA quota of rice for the month of  May, has been released and is available from all fair price shop.
Atta released
The Public Consumer of East Khasi Hills informed that the whole-meal atta for all Antyodaya Anna Yojana families, Priority House Hold and Non-NFSA urban and rural areas has been released and will be distributed through fair price shop at 10 kg per card at Rs. 8.
Weather warning
The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a weather warning where-by heavy rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya from Thursday to Sunday.
Meeting
The MUPSTA state level will hold its central executive committee meeting on at the KJP assembly conference hall, Barik point at 11 am on Saturday. The association requests all the members to attend the meeting without fail.
