Examination
The term end examination of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is going to start from June 1 and will conclude on June 23. Hall Ticket (Examination Intimation Slips) have been issued to 6,78,239 eligible students who had applied for appearing in the TEE. The hall ticket can be downloaded from the website www.ignou.ac.in.
Restriction
The office of the Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills informs that maxi cabs with heavy load on the carrier are not allowed to use the road from Lower Lachummiere towards Dhankheti since it slows traffic flow plying on that road. They also pose a danger to other vehicles as the slope is steep.
Strike
The Postal employees and Gramin Dak Sevaks are on indefinite strike from May 22 to press for their various demands. All negaotiations so far have failed and the central government seems to have turned a deaf ear for settlement of the demands.
