Assessment of Kisanvani programme concludes

SHILLONG: A three-day Impact Assessment and Capacity Building Kisanvani workshop for All India Radio programme producers organised by the North Eastern Service of All India Radio, Shillong and All India Radio, Jowai from Wednesday to Friday, under the aegis of the Ministry of Agriculture, Co-operation and Farmer’s Welfare Government of India and Directorate General AIR New Delhi concluded at ICAR Complex, Umiam.
A number of lectures pertaining to agriculture and farmer’s welfare were delivered by experts during the course of the workshop ranging from ‘Kaushal Vikas se Krishi Vikas’, to organic farming to National Bamboo Mission and so on.
A number of farmers were also invited to shared their success stories in agriculture and their Assessment of Kisanvani programmes. The farmers were also presented with a radio set by the department.
The workshop concluded with the vote of thanks by the Head of Office, NES-AIR Shillong.
