Don Bosco school adopts WGH village, plants saplings

TURA: A sapling plantation programme was organised on Saturday by Don Bosco Higher Secondary School here for students of Class X under the theme ‘Flora of Garo Hills is our sustainable future’ at Aminda Simsang in West Garo Hills.
Gambegre BDO Pittingson Sangma urged the audience to restore the environment by implementing the three Rs — reuse, reduce and recycle — especially in cases of the non-biodegradable materials.
Earlier, local nokma Dilseng Sangma thanked the school for adopting his village, which is about 15 km from Gambegre.
