CRPF IG reviews Shillong situation

SHILLONG: After the recent flare-up in the law and order situation in the city IGP NES, CRPF, Shillong,  Prakash D  on Tuesday  reviewed the situation  which was attended by all senior police officers including DIG S S Gohar.

In the review meeting, Security issues were discussed and it was decided to augment the camp security by installing CCTV cameras and by using modern electronic gadgets.

State Police was requested to fulfill the critical gaps in the basic amenities to be provided to the men in uniform and the need to coordinate with all other sister security forces was stressed upon.

It was also decided to deal sternly with the miscreants violating the law.   The IGP directed the troops to intensify patrolling so that no untoward incident happens in the city.
