False FIR
Regarding the attack which happened on January 21 to Onkarol Lyngdoh by unidentified Bangladeshi nationals near Lafarge Cement Factory (EKH) and the missing of his motorcycle (ML-05H-7136) where a case had been registered at Mawsynram PS. During investigation it transpired that the complainant (Onkarol Lyngdoh) had lodged a false FIR regarding the incident, in fact the complainant had sold his motorcycle to a Bangladeshi national, Tom Sangma.
Man stabs brother
On June 10, Niawlangki Phawa (22) stabbed his own brother Lenin Phawa (30) with a knife in their residence at Lumpyrdi (WJH). The victim was shifted to a hospital where he was declared brought dead. Necessary formalities were observed.
Ten-year-old drowns
On June 10, a ten-year- old girl namely, Dakani Dhar drowned while taking bath with her friends at Khliehrangnah River (WJH). Necessary formalities were observed.
Accident
On June 9 around 7 pm, a Maruti Alto-800 (ML-08F-6465) driven by Omor Koch dashed against a stationary truck (ML-07-7445) at Menduma (NGH). As a result, the driver and occupants of the car sustained injuries and were shifted to a hospital at Goalpara where Emraj Newar (68) was declared brought dead.
Petrol bomb hurled
Banwarilal Singh lodged a complaint that on June 8, unknown miscreants hurled petrol bombs at M/s Vikash Saw-cum-Veneer Mill Pvt. Ltd., MIDC Area, Umiam (RB). However, no casualty or damage was reported.
Threatened
Kumar Nath of M/s Green Valley Cement Ltd., Nongsning (EJH) lodged a complaint that on June 7 at about 10 pm, around seven persons in a Mahindra pick-up vehicle (ML-04B-1554) forcibly entered the cement plant, threatened the security staff with dire consequences and damaged the CCTV camera.
Fraud
An official of NEIGRIHMS lodged a complaint that on June 6 he received a call from a person who identified himself as Rajendra Sharma, SBI official asking for the complainant’s ATM card details to which he complied. Thereafter, on June 7 evening, eight fraudulent bank transactions totaling Rs. 31,877/- were debited from the complainant’s SBI account.
Theft
Lavinia Pyngrope lodged a complaint that on June 5 around 3 pm, Rangkynsai Syiemlieh (21) stole eleven bags of cement, eight bundles of iron rods, two hundred iron rings and two hundred pieces of wood from her construction site at Umpling, Shillong.
Sopani Basumatary lodged a complaint that on June 8 around 1.30 pm, unknown miscreants broke into her house at Nongkynrih Holy Ground, Laitumkhrah, Shillong and stole cash Rs. 12,500.
Bibari Boro lodged a complaint that on June 8 around 2.30 pm, unknown miscreants broke into her house at Bhagyakul, Laitumkhrah, Shillong and stole cash Rs. 20,000/- and one mobile phone.
Aman Shahni lodged a complaint that on June 10, unknown miscreants broke into her house at Barik (Lamonte Enterprise), Shillong and stole a laptop computer, mobile phone, gold ornaments and cash of Rs 2,000.
