SHILLONG: Police arrested three persons including a 3rd MLP constable at Umphyrnai and recovered suspected heroin from their possession, a delayed report said. The arrest was made on June 8 when police intercepted a Maruti Alto-800 car driven by Chwamiki Lyngdoh, the 3rd MLP battalion personnel.
The police recovered10.75 grams of yellow orange coloured powder suspected to be heroin from his possession.
Later, with leads from the constable, police arrested two more persons including a woman identified as Toofan Kharkongor and Diamond Dkhar Konglit from Demthring and recovered 8.89 grams of yellow orange powder suspected to be heroin from their possession.
