SHILLONG: Opposition leader and  former Chief Minister, Mukul Sangma has claimed that the NPP-led MDA Government in the state will fall anytime.

Talking to media persons here after the  CLP meeting  on Thursday evening , Mukul Sangma said, “ This Government will fall any time. It is as simple as that. You can read  between the lines.”

When asked if the party would take any action against the Ranikor MLA, MM Danggo ,  the CLP chief said that   the party will  work on the best appropriate action which the party cannot divulge at the moment.

He also said that   the MLA in question was yet to decide on the matter and the party had been   updated on certain things and party would accordingly proceed further on the matter.

It may be mentioned that MM Danggo has clearly asserted that he will leave Congress and join the NPP the day when NPP-led MDA Government upgrades Ranikor Administrative unit into a civil sub division

Reacting to a query,  Sangma also said that there had been efforts to engage in poaching on some of the members of the CLP  and this is done by  BJP and their associates who have engaged in similar activities in Manipur, Goa and even Arunachal Pradesh.

“We are  aware of their plot and conspiracy and they are engaging in corrupt activities   with their complete disregard to   the true spirit of democracy and the mandate of the people   and their efforts have vitiated  the  political environment

Sangma also maintained that the party was prepared to face all challenges and  Congress would  handle them.
