SHILLONG: A government notification mentioned as ‘top secret’ made by the Commissioner and Secretary in Charge Home S Kharlyngdoh about a serious law and order situation in Khasi Hills, Jaintia Hills and Ri Bhoi has been leaked and posted on social media before it was disseminated to the press on Saturday.
Police are yet to find out the source, which leaked the top secret notification which was available in the social media instead of Meghalaya Information and Public Relations releasing the information to the press.
The government promulgated fresh ban on internet to prevent any misuse of the social media having potential threat to public safety.
