SHILLONG: Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong, who is heading the High Level Committee, on Tuesday, said he cannot rule out a “political hand” behind the recent unrest in Shillong which threw life in the city out of gear for over a week.
When asked if there is any ‘political hand’ behind the recent unrest, Tynsong said, “I cannot rule out that but the Opposition’s duty is to create problems and see that the government is destabilised.”
Earlier, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma had asserted that his government will go after those funding the youths to ferment trouble in the city.
