World environment day essay winners announced

SHILLONG: The Environmental Information System (ENVIS) in collaboration with NEHU organised an Essay Competition on the occasion of World Environment Day.
An essay competition was held as part of the celebration and a total of 46 school students under the age of 17 took part in the event.
Avaneesh Jha of St. Edmund’s School bagged the first prize followed by V. Drishti Rao and Disha Goenka both from Loreto Convent School in second and third place respectively.
The Winners will be awarded cash prizes, t-shirts and certificates on June 25 at the NEHU Administrative Building. The certificate of participation will also be awarded to all participants on the same day.
