Traffic stalled due to cutting of tree

SHILLONG: An otherwise busy GS Road in the city was closed for four hours on Saturday afternoon to cut down a tree whose branches were hanging dangerously over the road.
Forest department personnel reached the spot and cut down the tree due to which traffic in the area was diverted from 1:15 pm to 5:15 pm.
Traffic towards Police Bazar was diverted through Keating road while cars coming from Bara Bazar were diverted through the Butcher road.
