100% coverage under Mission Indradhanush in EGH’

 TURA: Health officials in East Garo Hill have informed that the Special Intensified Mission Indradhanus (SIMI) program, one of the seven flagship programs under the campaign, “Gram Swaraj Abhiyan” has achieved 100% coverage for Antenatal Mothers and children from 0-2 years.

According to DM&HO, Dr Janulla K Marak, the program conducted in three rounds began from the month of April till June and has been successful with the cooperation of the stake-holders from the Health Department and partners from the district administration headed by the Deputy Commissioner, Ramkumar S and a team from ICDS and Education departments. She also informed that the coverage for antenatal mothers in the first round was 105% and 101% for children respectively.

Out of 491 villages, the DM&HO informed that 46 villages were covered during the program wherein immunization coverage was given to pregnant and lactating mothers as well as children.
