SHILLONG: The second convocation of the University Of Technology and Management was held on the Friday at U Soso Tham Auditorium in the city.
The chief guest on the occasion was Padma Shree chancellor Sanjay Dhande and NERCOMP managing director Shailendra Choudhury presided over the function.
Dhande stressed on the importance of instilling a new era of education in India.
The chancellor also congratulated outgoing Vice Chancellor Mukesh Saxena and introduced the new Vice Chancellor Nitin Rane and Pro Vice Chancellor Debmalya Bhattacharya.
211 B-Tech students, 30 BBA and 6 BJAMC students were awarded degrees by the chancellor during the end of the programme.
