Curfew time reduced to 5 hrs in city

SHILLONG: The East Khasi Hills district administration has reduced the curfew to five hours in the entire city from Saturday.
With the law and order situation in the city returning to normal, the East Khasi Hills District Magistrate has issued an order stating that the curfew in areas falling under Lumdiengjri police station such as Jaiaw, Mawkhar, Umsohsun, Riatsamthiah, Wahingdoh, Mission, Mawprem, Lumdiengjri, Lamavilla, Qualapatty, Wahthapbru, Sunny Hill, Cantonment, Mawlong Hat including Cantonment Beat House areas (excluding localities beyond Umshyrpi bridge) has been relaxed for 19 hours starting from Saturday with effect from 5 am to 12 midnight.
The relaxation of curfew under Shillong agglomeration remains the same i.e. from 5 am to 12 midnight.
