UDP circle projects Pius Marwein as candidate

SHILLONG: The UDP Ranikor Circle maintained that the candidate for the party in the Ranikor by-election is Pius Marwein.In a statement issued here, the Ranikor circle expressed surprise at the claim of PDF chairman P.N. Syiem on UDP’s inclusion at the meeting in which the plan for a common candidate was discussed. Secretary, Youth Wing and Media Cell UDP Ranikor Circle, R Bahunlang Sanglein claimed that Syiem is secretly projecting himself as the common candidate.
He added that there were no senior leaders who took part in the meeting called by Syiem to discuss on the common candidate as he said that till date the party has not received any direction from the central leaders.
