Mawsynram Cong unit selects candidate

SHILLONG: The Mawsynram Block Congress Committee (MBCC) has nominated the name of Rudy Shangpliang as the Congress candidate for the Council election 2019.
There were two other aspirants which include Suly Lyngdoh and Danial Wahlang.
Speaking after the end of the function to select the aspirants, Shangpliang expressed gratitude to the functionaries of the primary unit who selected him as the candidate from Mawsynram constituency.
Local MLA HM Shangpliang who did not want to contest as he wished to allow his supporters to stand for elections, has urged the party workers to work hard to ensure the party’s success in the Council elections to be held next
year.
