SHILLONG: The United Democratic Party (UDP) MDC from Umsning, Donkupar Sumer will be dropped from the Executive Committee (EC) of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC).

Informing this here on Thursday, KHADC Chief Executive Member (CEM) Pynshngain N Syiem  said that he had taken this decision to drop Sumer as the EM since he was involved in the conspiracy to topple the present EC

Syiem feels that Sumer should have resigned before becoming a part of the move to topple the EC.

“It is really surprising that he is conspiring to topple the EC which he is still part of,” the KHADC CEM said.

He also informed that he had recommended the name of James Sylliang and Grace Mary Kharpuri to the Governor for induction as the new Executive Members of the Council.

Syiem said that Sylliang and Khapuri will replace Sumer and Laitumkhrah UDP MDC, Antonio War who was recently dropped  from the EC
