GUWAHATI: Body of a 4th semester girl student from Assam Agriculture University (AAU), Jorhat , Radha Kumari, was found in the toilet of a train at Simaluguri Railway Station in Sivasagar district within 30 minutes after she had boarded Dibrugarh-Rangiya Express at Sivasagar Town Station at 7-15 this morning.
The AAU student had gone home at Sivasagar after her semester examination was over on July 7. She boarded the train this morning to visit her grandmother in Golaghat and her mother saw her off at Sivasagar Town Station.
He body with severe injury marks on the face and head found in the toilet of her coach at Simaluguri Railway Station. The train takes only 15 minutes to reach Simaluguri station from Sivasagar Town Station.
The body was found with a gamocha ( Assamese cotton towel) tied very tightly around her neck and with injury marks on head and the face. He mother told the police that there was only one person wearing a pant and a shirt was in the coach when her daughter boarded the train at Sivasagar.
