Dr C V Ananda Bose appointed advisor of Meghalaya govt

SHILLONG: Meghalaya Government has appointed senior IAS Officer, Dr C V Ananda Bose as the Advisor of Meghalaya Government. The officer joined the assignment on Wednesday.

The IAS officer on Wednesday met a number of Cabinet Ministers here at the Secretariat including Health and Family Welfare Minister, AL Hek.

Talking to media persons later,  Dr CV Ananda Bose said that the Chief Minister, Conrad Sangma had asked him to assist the Government in formulation of policies and ensure policies are implemented so that the end  users are benefited

“We would like to focus on  overall  development of the state and in areas of agriculture, infrastructure, food processing, education and tourism,” he said

He also said that the focus is on early and   effective delivery of Government policies and Chief Minister was  keen on bringing the concept of best practice in  good governance.

He also said that certain areas in Meghalaya could produce tangible results but natural resources like Bamboo has remain under utilised

He also said that there was tremendous scope for healthcare in Meghalaya and  the state could emerge as the health hub for the country.

Dr. C.V. Ananda Bose, senior civil servant, housing expert and innovator, was earlier empanelled  as Secretary to Government of India, Additional Chief Secretary and University Vice Chancellor
