SHILLONG: The Governor of Meghalaya has scheduled the election of the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) on Thursday.
Two MDCs, NPP MDC HS Shylla and PDF MDC Grace M. Kharpuri filed their nominations on Wednesday.
The election to the CEM post was necessitated following the resignation of PN Syiem on Monday morning before facing the trial of strength in the House session.
