EC to meet soon to decide on by-polls

SHILLONG: The Election Commission of India will meet soon to decide the date of two by-polls in the state.
Chief Electoral Officer Frederick Kharkongor said on Wednesday that it was up to the Election Commission to decide on the date after the notifications regarding the vacant seats of Ranikor and South Tura were sent to it.
Recently, Kharkongor met the commission members on the sidelines of a meeting in Delhi.
