Under-15 football tournament and penalty shoot-out
SHILLONG: In observance of the 183rd death anniversary U Syiem Tirot Sing, Uplifter M.S.C is going to organize Under-15 Football Tournament 2018 and Penalty Shoot-out 2018 on July 17, 2018, at the Nongthymmai Sports & Cultural Club, Shillong. Last date for the registration is July 16, 2018 till 6:00 pm. Govt to scouting for archery talents in Mawkyrwat
MAWKYRWAT: With a view to have a best team for the National Games 2022 which will be held in the state, the Sports Department has decided to conduct a scouting of talents among the youths of the state to represent and bring laurels to the people of Meghalaya in the National Games. As part of the preparation for the National Games 2022, the office of the District Sports Officer (DSO), South West Khasi Hills in collaboration with the District Sports Promotion Society (DSPS), Mawkyrwat District Sports Association (MDSA) and Archery Association of Meghalaya (AAM) will conduct scouting of talent in Archery within the District on July 14, 2018 at the MDSA Stadium, Mawkyrwat from 10:00 A.M onwards.
Prannoy knocked out of Indonesia Open
BANGKOK: Indian shuttlers HS Prannoy in the men’s singles and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Ashwini Ponnappa in the mixed doubles were knocked out of the Indonesia Open Badminton Tournament here on Thursday. In the men’s singles 11th ranked Prannoy was thrashed by Indonesian player ranked 80th Sony Dwi Kuncoro 18-21, 14-21 in the second round. (UNI)
