New stickers for local taxis, autorickshaws

SHILLONG: SP, East Khasi Hills has informed that stickers with allotted numbers for local taxis and auto rickshaws will be issued at the SP’s office from July 23 to 28.
The SP said that an amount of Rs 500 per month will be charged from owners or representatives of local taxis and auto rickshaws after the last date.
Original documents along with photocopies of registration certificate, permit, insurance certificate, fitness certificate and trading license for non tribal owners, professional tax, passenger tax, M.L.M.T.U certificate, pollution certificate are to be produced while collecting the sticker.
After all documents are checked and found valid a sticker will be issued and it should be pasted on the left side of the front Windshield, the SP said in a statement.
