SHILLONG: The newly elected chief executive member of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council, HS Shylla, has allotted portfolios to the nine Executive Members.
Antonio War has taken charge of trade and IT, Donkupar Sumer was allotted council building department, Rona Khymdeit forest department. War, Sumer and Khymdeit are UDP MDCs.
People’s Democratic Front (PDF) rebel MDC James Sylliang will take charge of Elaka department while his PDF colleague Latiplang Kharkongor has been allotted the department of town committees and mines and minerals. Another PDF MDC, Blandingstar Warjri has got the charge of revenue and labour. NPP MDCs Victor Ranee and Jansing Tynsong will take charge of the department of arts and culture and youth affairs and market, respectively.
Independent MDC Ricky Shullai has been alloted taxation and water resources.
