Inter District Open Kyorugi & Poomsae Taekwondo C’ship held
SHILLONG: All East Khasi Hills Taekwondo Association successfully conducted 1st Inter District Open Kyorugi & Poomsae Taekwondo Championship-2018 in the JN Sports Complex, Indoor Stadium, Polo, Shillong on July 21 and 22,2018 under the aegis of State Official body Meghalaya Taekwondo Association. A record number of Taekwondo Athletes participated with an all time high of 302 Athletes.
1st Late Hiarless Tmung football tourament organized
NONGPOH: In a bid to honour one of the well known personalities of the Raid Nongbri, Ri Bhoi District, the Umsawnongbri Youth Club cum Library Centre on Tuesday organized the football tournament known as the 1st Late. Hiarless Tmung Memorial Football Tournament 2018 which was held at Umsawnongbri. The opening game was held between the Umsawnongbri C versus the Umphing football club, in which Umphing FC defeated the Umsawnongbri C. The tourney witnessed the participation of over 11 football club of the area who will be playing to win the 10 thousand rupees and 5 thousand rupees.
Don Bosco team bags medals at Taekwondo tourney
TURA: Fighters from Don Bosco School in Tura has once again done the school and the region proud by winning medals at the 1st Inter District Open Taekwondo Championships held at JN Sports Complex Indoor Stadium, Polo in Shillong from July 21 to 23. The team from Don Bosco bagged altogether 6 Gold, 8 Silver and 9 Bronze medals. The Gold medals were won by Dimsel Ch Sangma, Gamjam Momin, Krist Jerixo Marak, Lastmania T Sangma and Osman T Sangma (Coach), while Tengsime Sangma, Avera G Momin, Dimsel Ch Sangma, Gamjam Momin, Krist Jerixo Marak, Mankam Momin and Patricia A Sangma each won a silver medal.
