Meghalaya Day awardees named

SHILLONG: The State Cabinet on Wednesday approved the names of recipients of the Meghalaya Day Awards.
Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said based on recommendations of the advisory committee, the Cabinet has also approved Bertha Dkhar from Bethany Society for the Pa Togan Sangma Award for social service.
Handam R Marak will be presented the U Tirot Sing Award for arts and literature while Aiborlang Khongjee will receive the U Kiang Nongbah Award for achievement in sports.
