The Shillong Body Building Association will organise its annual Mr. Ironman Classic 2018, second edition, on August 4. The venue for the event would be intimated later.
Atta released
The DC (Supply), East Khasi Hills District, Shillong has informed that whole-meal Atta (Tide Over) for all Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) families, Priority House Holds (PHH) and Non-NFSA for the month of July, 2018 quota in urban and rural areas has been released and will be distributed through the fair price shops at the scale of 10 kgs per card at the rate of Rs. 8 per kg. Any non supply or overcharging of the rate by the Suppliers may be brought to the notice of the DC.
Postponed
The DC (Supply), West Garo Hills, Tura has informed that in view of the upcoming by-election to the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly of 51-South Tura, Assembly Constituency (ST) and enforcement of Model Code of Conduct in the entire District, the ongoing public hearing for inclusion of deprived beneficiary under NFSA, 2013 slated for Julyn 25 and 26, has been postponed until further orders.

The Madan Sports & Cultural Club elected its office bearers in a general meeting held on July 17. The club elected R.G. Marbaniang as president, Johny Lyngdoh as vice president, Oliver A. Myrphet as general secretary and other members.
