Nongbet wins Youth Coach of the Year Award

SHILLONG: Shillong Lajong Youth Coach, Bobby Nongbet won the Youth Coach of the Year Award for winning the U-18 Youth League and for his excellent contribution to Youth Development in a function held in Mumbai on Tuesday night by the Association of Indian Football Coaches (AIFC).
Bobby Nongbet who hails from Shillong, Meghalaya won his second National Championship Title with Lajong that is the U-18 Youth League in May 2018 and the first one being the U-15 Manchester United Premier Cup India Champions in 2010.
After receiving the award Coach Bobby Nongbet said, “I would like to thank the AIFC and AIFF for this award. This initiative certainly will lift the spirit and motivation of the coaches of the country to work harder. It serves as a good recognition for the efforts put by the club in working with the youths.”
“I dedicate this award to my immediate technical support that is Aibok Kharpran and Milan Nongkhlaw.”
“I would like to give my thanks to the management and staff for their continuous support. Special mention to Lajong faithfuls who have been motivating us from the beginning. And last but not the least, Mr Larsing Ming Sawyan for his beliefs and concentration on youth development.”
