Annoyed aunt’s slap kills 5-yr-old

SHILLONG: A five-year-old girl died after she was hit by her 15-year-old aunt who was woken up from her sleep in East Jaintia Hills.
According to police, on July 23, around 5 pm, the child went to wake her aunt in their residence at Tangnob village in East Jaintia Hills.
Out of frustration, the teenager hit the child on her back. As a result, the victim became unconscious and was shifted to a clinic at Umpleng Bazar where the attendant reported that the girl was already dead.
The next day, the relatives buried the body at the Presbyterian Church cemetery in the village. Police arrested the accused.
