Seminar for Civil Service aspirants

Tura: A seminar on “How to Prepare for Civil Services Examination” was held on Friday at District Auditorium, Tura which was organised by the Resident Commissioner, Meghalaya House, New Delhi in collaboration with District Administration, West Garo Hills, Tura under Chief Minister’s Career Guidance and Counselling Scheme and Chief Minister’s Youth Development Scheme (CMYDS).
While addressing the gathering of students, DC Ram Singh said that this seminar aims to boost the confidence and the level of preparedness for appearing in the civil services examination for all aspirants of the district.
V Rabindra Babu, Director, Nagarjuna IAS Academy, Hyderabad explained in detail about the Civil Services Examination Pattern comprising of Preliminary, Mains Examination and Personal Interview.
He also briefed them about the method of preparation for General Studies, choosing of optional for Main Examination, selection of books and authors, science and technology magazines, current affairs, newspapers, magazines and journals amongst others.
Further, while motivating the students to put extra effort and achieve the mission, he informed that Davis Nestell Marak, the present Superintendent of Police of East Khasi Hills was one of the successful candidates from the said institute.
