Coal extraction
On July 28, Kampher Sutnga lodged a complaint that unknown persons extracted coal from his coal quarry at Wah Mana under Elaka Sutnga in East Jaintia Hills.

Abusive letter to Edu officer
On July 28, Dilip Paul, president, Gandhi Memorial LP & UP School, Jowai in West Jaintia Hills and one other jointly lodged a complaint that unknown person(s) had forged the signature of Paul in a letter sent to Sub-Divisional School Education Officer, Jowai, wherein the addressee was threatened and abused with unpleasant language.

Man knocked down
On July 25 around 3.30 pm, one truck (ML-04A-8445) knocked down Martin Lyngdoh near MVI Check Gate at Umtyra village in East Jaintia Hills. Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to CHC Khliehriat for treatment. After the incident, driver fled away leaving the truck behind. A criminal case has been registered in this connection.
