No nomination filed on third day in Tura

TURA: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma remains the sole candidate to have filed his nomination for the August 23 South Tura by-poll.
No candidate from either the Congress or other parties or even Independents have so far come forth to file their nomination for the by-poll. Filing of nominations began on Monday, the chief minister submitted his papers on the second day on Tuesday.
Apart from the chief minister, nomination papers have been collected by the Congress, former MLA John Leslee K Sangma and aspiring Independent candidate Kris Kabul Sangma.
Filing of papers will come to a close on August 6.
