M M Dangoo, 3 others file nominations for by-polls on Friday

SHILLONG: Altogether four candidates filed the nominations on Friday for the by-poll to Ranikor and South Tura Assembly constituencies scheduled to be held on August 23.

In Ranikor, former Congress MLA, MM Danggo who will now contest the election as an NPP candidate filed his nominations. Similarly, Congress candidate, Jackiush   A Sangma also filed his nominations.

PDF Chief and former legislator from Mawsynram, PN Syiem also filed his nominations on Thursday.

In South Tura, Congress candidate Charlotte W Momin filed the nominations on Friday. It may be mentioned that the Chief Minister and NPP chief, Conrad Sangma has already filed his nominations for the by-poll. It is a must win situation for Conrad Sangma to continue as the Chief Minister of Meghalaya.
