Accident
On Friday around 10:15pm a Maruti car crashed against a moving truck at 4th Mile in Upper Shillong. The car also slid into a gorge and two persons were injured. The first victim was identified as Bildar Wahlang (33) and the second victim was identified as Jied Warjri (38). The victims were transported to Civil Hospital by a Shillong based 108 ambulance.

Assault
On Saturday around 7:26 am, 46-year-old Anjela Kharthangmaw was assaulted by her husband with a sharp object at Umbir causing major injuries to the victim. Holy Cross Hospital, Umbir referred the victim to Shillong and she was later transported to Civil Hospital by a 108 ambulance. She remains in critical condition.

Theft
On Friday around 11:00 am, unknown miscreants broke into the house of Bhakti Kishore Bhattacharjee at Lower Jail Road and stole Rs 50,000 cash and gold jewelry valued at Rs 2,50,000.
On July 27 around 10:40 pm, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-05P-0808) belonging to Ajit Chakravorty from Lower Jail Road.
