GUWAHATI: One person has been arrested by Railway Police from Dimapur-Kamakhya BG Express (Train no 15666) at Guwahati Railway station by the Government Railway Police on Wednesday on charges of molesting a young girl traveling in the same coach of the train.
According to Railway Police, the accused allegedly molested the girl in the wee hours of Wednesday inside the moving train at Dimapur in front of her elder brother who was accompanying the girl.
The girl,however, was saved from the tormentor by the other passengers traveling in the train.
Though the brother of the victim called up the railway police over phone, the miscreant managed to escape from the coach as the train was moving in a high speed.
Later, Government Railway Police arrested the miscreants soon as the train had arrived in Guwahati Railway station. The arrested miscreant has been identified as Koraiba Wilson who hails from Maram Mathak village under Tadubi police station of Senapati district in Manipur.
Meanwhile, Railway Police official Utpal Kumar Das has informed that as the incident took place near Dimapur, the accused will be sent to Police in Dimapur.
