SHILLONG: The KSU South West Khasi Hills District has asked the state government machinery to stop pursuing its members hailing Umdohlun, Phlangdiloin and Photumiap units in the arson cases at Mawthabah and Wahkaji. In a statement issued here on Thursday, KSU South West Khasi Hills president, Forwardman Nongrem, said the search conducted by the police is akin to hunting down a militant which has disturbed the family members of the union. He added that the KSU SWKH will conduct a meeting with central leaders of the Union to discuss the matter. “The union does not want to resort to any disruption. But we will be prompted to take that route if our members are pursued as it has created fear psychosis in the minds of young children,” Nongrem added.
