Shillong: A display and tasting event of jackfruit-themed dishes prepared by 28 chefs and bakers of 15 local hotels, resorts, cafes and bakeries was held on Saturday in Pinewood Hotel, Shillong.
The best dishes were selected by an eminent panel of tasters on the occasion which was sponsored by the Directorate of Food Processing.
An interactive session with local restaurateurs and hotel owners was held on July 31 organised by the Meghalaya Institute of Entrepreneurship (MIE) under the stewardship of the Governor’s Secretariat, Shillong where it was decided to conduct a training programme in preparation of various dishes from jackfruit.
