TURA: A group of voters from Sillanggre locality near Hawakhana in South Tura constituency have announced their refusal to participate in any election meeting of Independent candidate and former MLA John Leslee K Sangma citing non sanction of CGI sheets for roofing during his tenure as a legislator.
Several dozen signatories from the locality alleged that they were asked to submit the list of beneficiaries for CGI distribution by the MLA but despite submission of the list they did not receive the CGI sheets.
As a mark of protest the 124 signatories have announced a boycott of the Independent candidate’s meetings in their locality.
