SHILLONG: The chief executive of the KHADC, HS Shylla, said the executive committee has passed an order to form the council of traditional chiefs and headmen. Addressing reporters on Tuesday, he said it is unfounded for the Khasi chiefs and headmen to be part of the Grand Council of Chiefs, which is a “private organisation”. “They will act as an advisory body to the KHADC. They will no longer remain a member of the Grand Council of Chiefs,” he said.
