NONGSTOIN: The body of a teenager was discovered on Friday morning around 5:25 am at Mawiong Lumsyntiew in Nongstoin.
Some passers-by noticed the body lying on a footpath at Mawiong after which the headman, D. Pariong informed Nongstoin Police.
After investigation, the deceased was identified as Kennedy L. Nonglait (18), son of E Lyngdoh of Mawiong Lumsyntiew.
The relatives sought for post mortem exemption which was granted by the Addl. District Magistrate, West Khasi Hills.
The body was thereafter handed over to the relatives.
