SHILLONG: Shillong Police on Sunday arrested one person and seized 19800 W.Y (Word is Yours) – a banned contraband item – from his possession.
Police said that the seizure was made by Madanrting police and ANTF during a checking of a night super bus at Umphyrnai on Sunday around 2:00am. The bus in question was coming from Tripura.
The police team recovered the contraband from one passenger who has been identified as Yumnam Sanahal Singh of Manipur.
A case has been registered against the arrested person under the NDPS act.
