SHILLONG: The Futsal Association of Ribhoi District (FARBD) was formed on the August 22, 2018 with an aim to promote Futsal in the district for the benefit of kids and youth.The association was formed in the presence of Dr.B.S.Langbang, President Futsal Association of Meghalaya (FAM). The President FAM congratulated all the members of FARBD and wished them all the best in promotion of Futsal in the district.

The Shillong Times first appeared as a tabloid weekly on 10th August 1945 under the editorship of Late Sudhindra Bhusan Chaudhuri. In 1958 it was converted to a Daily. Owing to financial constraints, within six months it reverted back to a weekly.
