KHADC chief predicts NPP win in by-election

SHILLONG:The NPP MDC and CEM of Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC), HS Shylla predicted a win for NPP in Thurday’s by-election asserting it will be the single largest party in Meghalaya Assembly.

Airing his views on the two by-elections held on Thursday, he said, “If NPP wins, it will be the single largest party. If we win in South Tura, the tally will go up to 20 and if Ranikor voters elect NPP, the number will raise to 21.”

He was also sounded confident of NPP candidate, Conrad Sangma’s win in South Tura and observed that the results of two  by-elections of South Tura and Ranikor will bring changes in the state.
