In a letter to the NEIGRIHMS director, the residents said, “It appears that Dr Devinder Mohan Thappa, Director NEIGRIHMS has some vested interest in jeopardizing the superspeciality courses at NEIGRIHMS and to seek advantages from sources best known to you. Since the time Dr Thappa has joined NEIGRIHMS, he has complicated the problems to such an extent that the students are harmed and discouraged to continue,” the letter said

The resident doctors while expressing their anguish said that they would peacefully show their protest against the dictatorship and autocratic administration.

The resident doctors also asked the Director to forward the intimation letter to the Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, to examine the matter and help the institute to redeem its prestige which the institution is losing
