Enforcement wing without manpower

SHILLONG: KHADC CEM HS Shylla on Wednesday said the enforcement wing of the council is facing shortage of manpower.
Besides, the 70 personnel from the enforcement wing are armed only with a lathi.
“In situations of tension, we usually inform the state police to assist the District Council,” he added.
Shylla informed that the enforcement wing of the KHADC will be assisting the NGOs during inspection of trading licenses and he will speak to the EM in charge to work out coordination of the NGOs with the enforcement wing.
