Couple found dead in Guwahati lodge

GUWAHATI: A couple was found dead at Star Lodge at Beltola area of the city on Monday.
Police said that the bodies of the couple were recovered from the room number 101 of the lodge.
The deceased were identified as Swaroop Choudhury and his wife Joya Choudhury.
Their bodies were discovered by the hotel’s cleaning staff.
The couple from Amguri at Bijni in Assam had come to Guwahati on Sunday for treatment of Joya Choudhury.
The body of the husband was found hanging while that of the wife was lying on the bed.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
