Police advisory on foreigners visiting state

SHILLONG: East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police Davis Marak has informed that in accordance with the rules laid out by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (Foreigners Division), all managers of hotels, guest houses, lodges, rent houses and inns who have not registered their user IDs for submission of reports on online ‘C’ forms (C-FRO) should report to the office of the Superintendent of Police- Cum-Foreigners Registration Officer. Those who have registered their user IDs should submit the report regularly within 24 hours of the arrival of the foreigners in their respective establishments.
The same rules will apply to all owners of private educational institutions and religious institutions. Owners of establishments should also ensure that foreigners possess the appropriate visa and other legal documents.
